Is CBD Oil For ADHD A Real Possibility?

The use of cannabidiol for treatment of seizures is a new development. Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a lipophlic phytochemical found in hemp plants from the United States and Canada. It is among the service alkaloids and has many similar properties to THC, the primary ingredient in marijuana. However, cannabidiol does not produce the same "high" associated with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). It does, however, have valuable medical and therapeutic qualities.

Cannabidiol has been used to treat a number of diseases and illnesses, including depression, pain, arthritis, Crohn's disease, herpes, nausea, epilepsy, menopause, and even some types of cancer. These and other potential uses are being researched today. In recent years, cannabidiol has been found to be beneficial in treating some symptoms of certain childhood cancers, including breast, ovarian, and leukemia. In addition, it may help prevent or reduce seizures in children with certain forms of epilepsy. While further studies remain to be conducted, CBD Oil Dosage for Catsdisorders is currently being investigated.

There are many questions about the safety of using cannabidiol, a plant compound extracted from cannabis, to treat diseases and ailments outside of those it is supposed to treat. Much of the information is anecdotal, with no hard scientific data to support the claims. Many people report that they feel better when they use NuLeaf NaturalsCBD oil, rather than medical marijuana.

One study on the subject was conducted by a team of researchers led by Dr. Samir Melki, who is a professor at the University of Vienna. Their report, published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, looked at three different groups of children with ADHD, including one group that was treated with LPS (levothyroxine). The other two groups were treated with CBD. Dr. Melki and his colleagues found that CBD seemed to improve symptoms of ADHD in patients, while reducing the levels of dopamine in their brains. They concluded that CBD may have a useful effect on ADHD symptoms.Read more about CBD at

Another recent study found that CBD could be used to treat epilepsy in children. It is particularly effective in controlling seizures associated with Dravet syndrome, a serious type of epilepsy. Dravet syndrome is a combination of seizures, poor appetite, and other symptoms that can lead to severe health problems. It is estimated that over ten percent of children have some form of epilepsy associated with seizures by the age of five, and CBD is believed to have a positive effect on children with mild to moderate cases of epilepsy.

While this is encouraging, we need more evidence before we can say CBD oil is helpful for treating symptoms of epilepsy and other childhood diseases. However, there are promising signs that CBD can be helpful in reducing symptoms of ADHD and other related disorders. In addition to the above mentioned studies, a recent double blind study on CBD showed that it could help alleviate the side effects of Ritalin. The subjects who took the placebo also showed an improvement in their blood pressure, which could mean CBD could potentially offer a natural alternative to Ritalin. This would be exciting news, especially in light of the growing cost of prescription drugs and the high cost of doctor visits associated with taking prescribed medicines.
